I've been reading a couple of posts earlier about the recent Jonas shenanigans, and have been greatly amused. For those of you (the roughly 50% of my flist) who don't know what I'm talking about, I'll summarize quickly:

Joe (the one with the eyebrows) has, of late, been focusing on exercise, abandoning his ladycoats in favor of grandpa sweaters, building up his muscles and trying to look like a respectable young man. He cut his hair, got a trainer, and has been photographed shopping at Whole Foods and buying lots of healthy Kashi-esque stuff.

Nick (the one with the diabetes) has, of late, been creating ridiculous YouTube videos in which he raps about how tight his pants are, giving up his plaid shirts in favor of dressing like a fussy gay man, wearing headbands and catting around with older women, like his not-at-all age-appropriate Camp Rock 2 co-star Courtney Galiano.

Long story short, I've come up with what I think is a pretty credible explanation for their recent behavior.

I'm just saying. This could make some awesome fic. Anyone want to write it?

1. Nick Jonas in a headband is DELIGHTFUL.  I find him incredibly sexy when he's all uptight and repressed, and apparently I find him incredibly sexy when he's loose and goofy.  Who knew?
2. I am considering making a dramatic change to my diet - thinking about cutting out sugars and dairy.  Lately I feel sluggish and I have been with a friend who went vegan a few months ago and not only does she look incredible but she feels great.  I couldn't cut out animal proteins entirely (I would not be able to live without fish), but I think I could go without red meat and evil chicken and dairy.  I'd like to give it a try.

Have any of you made significant dietary changes?  Tell me about it.  What are your thoughts?

Awhile back, ashavahishta made a post about how Joe and Nick, in their bachelorhood, were starting to act like each other's girlfriends. That idea kind of got me going on this retarded fic that I call my subconscious!dating fic when I refer to it in my head. I haven't been able to write it like a real fic yet - so far it's just lots of random snippets of them starting to realize how much they like dating each other. It might never make it into a whole complete fic, but I like posting the snippets, so now there's a tag! YAY!

For those who are interested, the first part was posted in a comment on onelittlesleep's journal, but I've edited and reposted it here. The second part was posted after Nick and Joe went on a date to the Kings of Leon concert in Canada. I won't always post these in chronological order, but this part (another 1,000 words or so) follows immediately after that last one.

I know I don't have the best track record with fic challenges, but lately, challenges in this fandom have been bringing out the BEST in people, so I think a ridiculous Harlequin challenge will be GREAT. 15 writers have already signed up (GOOD WRITERS, TOO), but there are still 40 unclaimed prompts! YOU should go and claim one NOW. (Also, you can claim a prompt that's already been claimed - there are no pesky rules about multiple writers using the same prompt, or even word limits/minimums - this is EASY PEASY.)

ALSO - SPN WRITERS: The prompts are pretty much all different from the SPN Harlequin prompts - so there's no need to worry about duplication! In fact, you should maybe consider writing some incesty-fics about REAL BROTHERS! JoBro fandom needs you! YES YOU.

ETA: I have never laughed more in my entire life. My friends got hilariously into it, and the whole night was RIDICULOUS. Aside from the concert being GLORIOUS, and my seats being INSANE, I also won $2,300 at the craps table! And we got SO drunk and today is NOT FUN AT ALL, but I'm still smiling because the whole night was just plain awesome.

I will have to make another post about the show itself. Nick J was about four feet away from me the whole night, and he was SMILEY. But first, I need EGGS.

PEOPLE. If you aren't already, you should go and write something for the boyfriends_fic mini-challenge where bb!Nick and bb!Joe meet their current day selves, for whatever reasons (no one cares!), and cuddling and groping and hi-jinks ensue.

Some really good writers have taken a stab at writing this AWESOME situation, but so far, none better than nutkin, who has stormed into this fandom with a fervor that ALL awesome SPN writers should! *cough* (HAHA. YES. I KNOW. MY AGENDA IS SHOWING. standing_fic: ARE YOU SEEING THIS?) You must read her fic here. It's got some porn, sure, but it's also very sweet. (winterweathered - this is probably safe enough for you, not sure. Read it and let me know so I can re-calibrate my porn settings.)

Bleh. I miss my dad. Was sitting in the airport today and there were these two sisters near me and one was on the phone with her dad and she was joking around with him, and updating them on what they were doing and I just had to blink blink blink. I guess this is what happens?

Also, this week has been crazy. I've literally been a punching bag for clients. Movie studio clients were the worst to deal with, because they are all DRAMATIC and stuff. They are like, "Fix this or I will KEEEL YOU. DED." Okay, Warren Beatty. Simmer down. Big telecom client was the hardest to handle, because I really CARE about that one, and my team genuinely screwed something up, so I just had to take it on the chin.

Actually, the movie studio client was kind of unintentionally hilarious when she was verbally ass-raping me earlier.


WAH. Enough whining. Some happy or funny things:

1. I finally bought a dining room table. It arrives tomorrow! YAY. Now I will have to cook for my family! Oh. SHIT.
2. I am going to the Jonas Brothers concert next Friday. I ended up getting kind of awesome seats and a lot of perks from one of my vendors, and was able to round up a hilarious crew of girls, and we decided to just make a night of it.
3. SPN TONIGHT! YAY.

Also, PROMPT ME with some Joe/Nick or Nick/anyone prompts. Not for epic fics, but like, easy stuff. Like those 5 things prompts. Or whatever. I have all of these WIPs on my computer but I just want to write something quick and fun. Can be porny or not. I won't promise to write them, but I want to hear what YOU want to read!

Okay. This is awful. Mainly because I wrote it this morning in between meetings for novaberry, who wanted Joe shotgunning Nick, and who is relentless in her epic picspams of Nick J, and who almost gave up on this glorious fandom the other day. So I tried to hit lots of her kinks, and then lots of my own, and then it all came out in this vomitous mess of porn. But I said I would post it – so here it is!
